What Is Our Affiliation?

We are Southern Baptists meaning we voluntarily cooperate with other Southern Baptists in doing the work of world-wide missions. Yet we are an autonomous body of believers, self-governing, and free from denominational control. How Do We Worship

We seek to follow the command of our Lord to worship in Spirit and in truth. Thus we sing and praise our God and pray and share in fellowship in an informal but orderly way because we want the Holy Spirit to lead us. We look with disdain upon legalistic codes relating to dress, food or drink. To be dressed in the righteousness of Christ is far more important than our external righteousness. We pass the plate, but we do not beg for money. We seek to make our worship not only conform to the Spirit but to the truth. Our preaching and teaching is solely intended to hear what God has to say in His Word. We encourage people to vote and be involved in politics but refuse to allow our pulpit to be a springboard for any partisan political agenda. When we have the glorious gospel of the Word of God, why should we spend our time and energies on something less?
